Is there a long-term commitment, or can I cancel at any time?

There is no long-term commitment. Whenever you would like to receive an order from us, simply place the order. If you have placed an order which you find you need to cancel, just let us know the Friday before the scheduled delivery and the order will be cancelled for you.

How often do you deliver? . . . and how often do I need to order?

Deliveries are made once per week to each delivery area. You can receive an order at any interval you choose (once per week, bi-weekly, monthly, etc.) or just as-needed. Simply place your order no later than 8 p.m. the Friday prior to your requested delivery. Please be sure to check the appropriate box to let us know whether the order is a ‘One-Time Order’ or a ‘Standing Order’.

Do I need to be home to receive my order?

Being home to accept delivery is not necessary! Our products are delivered to your door in clean, modern, refrigerated vehicles which are inspected to meet State regulations—so your product is sure to arrive cold.

When folks do not plan on being home to accept delivery, they generally find it convenient to leave a plastic picnic-type cooler where they’d like their product left—this is usually sufficient to sustain the proper temperature in the summer and in the winter. Some folks prefer to purchase one of our Old-Fashioned Milkbox Coolers —and we also offer an Ice Pack Exchange Program. Payment for the order is generally left in the cooler or made by credit card. And often, a completed Order Form is left for us by those who wish to place their next order at that time.

How much does delivery cost?

The charge is $3.25 per delivery.

Are there any Minimums required to Order?

An order of about $10-$12 is usually sufficient within most of our delivery area.

How do I place my Order?

Orders may be phoned, faxed, mailed, placed on-line, or left at a previous delivery. All Orders must be received by us no later than 8 p.m. the Friday before the scheduled delivery —this assures that all items can be delivered fresh.

How do I pay for my Order?

For your convenience, Catamount Farm accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. We also accept cash and personal checks. (Cash is discouraged unless you plan on being home for the delivery.)

What areas do you deliver to?

Our delivery area is always expanding to meet customer demand. Please check this website or call to determine if you are within our current delivery area. If you have an interest in our service but find you are not within our service area, please ask to be placed on our ‘waiting list’.

Do you sell raw milk?

No, we do not sell raw milk. Do to concerns for public safety, NH State Law greatly restricts the sale of raw milk. All the milk we sell is pasteurized and processed in state-inspected facilities.

Are your products Organic? . . . and what is rBST and rBGH?

Products which are ‘organic’ or are ‘pledged by the producer to be rBST/rBGH-free’ will be specified such on the Order Form. rBST/rBGH are artificial growth hormones used by some dairy farmers to increase milk production. It’s use has stirred controversy among some individuals. The FDA has required labeling to state that “no significant difference has been shown and no test can now distinguish milk from rBST treated and untreated cows”.

How does the system work for Bottle Deposits? . . .and how do I return my milk bottles?

The sale price of our farm-fresh milk and cream includes a refundable bottle deposit: $1.50 for pints and quarts; $2.00 for half-gallons. When you finish the contents, simply wash your bottles (hot soapy water is sufficient) and leave them out on delivery day. (Bottle caps should be discarded.) We will credit that-day’s invoice for the amount of your deposit.
